Milan Disapoints.....

The shows were great don't get me wrong, the outfits, the designers, the backstage. But did you notice the MODELS??? There was no or very little diversity!! Ok so maybe two Asian models made appearances in like four shows for the big name brands. Nearly two Black models modeled for again big names; mostly Jourdan Dunn appeared. But what happened Sessilee Lopez? Lakshami Menon? Chanel Iman (i just saw her in D sqaured, and D+G), new face Rose? Ubah? Liya? even Naomi Cambell? and so many other top models of diversity!! BTW Prada had all white girls, there were 59 looks of the show and all 59 was on all white girls.

Its the big name brands in the fashion that counts not small isolated shows. NY fashion Week was so diverse this season and I along with many others, were hoping to see diversity in Milan fashion week...but I guess not... :-(

All eyes on Paris!! Don't let us DOWN!

PLEASE COMMENT AND TELL HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS!! PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL THOUGH.

i agreee, it's very disappointing when a great city like Milan doesn't appreciate diversity, looks like the VOGUE Italia Black issue didn't really settle in on them

Hey thanks for the nice comment on my blog (Sethboyardee).

Sorry I don't know anything about the fashion world so any comment I would leave here would be sort of pointless.

But nice blog - I'll be sure to check it out more thoroughly :)

It is ridiculous. I think that a little variety would be so much better.
Wasn't NY fashion week the same last year - no models of diversity either?

"Change" only came in America, not over seas.

it is sad, that a big fashion cares about colour of skin.
